54 pin connector to amp

Hi

I have a 2004 x5 diesel. On my factory amp there is a 54 pin connector. Does anyone know here i shall take out the signal for my new amp and sub? wich wire, i want also to know number and color of the pin/wire

you could always grab signal at the factory sub if you have one, if not each pair of speaker wires are typically twisted together, brown is always negative. you'll need a full range signal, not from a tweeter output, so unplug the harness from the amp and pop the door speakers with a 9 volt battery with some leads. the mid woofers typically have heavier gauge wire than the tweeters.

thanks for the help. I shall see if i can make it done. I will take a picture if i dont figure it out. All i have read at the forum it had been a 12 pin or 42 pin. Mine is 54
