Is this a transmission problem/failure signs?

I've got a 2004 3.0, now in auto mode there is no problem, but sometime I go into Manual mode and then drive it hard, now in the 1st gear I sometime go upto 3-4K RPMs (6K I believe is Red Zone) and then shift to 2nd, at that point the handle does shift, but the gear hesitats for a couple of seconds in 1st then jerks into the second. Now if I don't drive it hard in first gear then its o.k..

So what do guys think?

I would say don't drive hard like that anymore, unless you really need a new transmission! It will accelerate at the same speed weather your in manual or not.

Try reprogramming your tranny...or atleast get it checked from stealer for your satisfaction...If it wouldbe failing then they have this goodwill warranty to replace it. Who knows when they might take it away...
