Would u think since it charges the batt.. the final stage resistor would affect it?? its been acting up for a while... maybe it like turned on the ac under full accleration and spiked the system??

Well, you can guess at it and do lots of possibly unnecessary repairs, or you can go and have it checked out and determine why the light is on. At the least, you want the codes read, and if that doesn't show anything I would suspect a problem in the computer.

No problem with your battery or alternator, if it is charging.

The thing that those various systems have in common is the instrument panel, but you need to get it checked out to tell for sure.
