Extended Maintenance Coverage - Is This Worth It?

I am considering purchasing the additional maintenance coverage to go with my CPO warranty but am trying to decide if it will pay for itself. I will have to pay about $2100 for the coverage. I know that the oil changes and the belts will not pay for this but if the brakes need to be done that will. Does anyone have this and is it a wise investment? I know that with an extended warranty it is usually hit or miss. I have only needed to use my extended warranty on other vehicles about once and that is including about 5 different vehicles so I have lost money previously.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Oil changes ARE included with the Extended Maintenance but the price ($2100) seems a bit on the high side. I paid $1100 for my EM. I think the prices have increased since but it should be around the $1300 - $1500 range. Check with multiple dealerships.

Thank you so much for the link to that thread. It was extremely helpful. It appears the dealers in the general area that I am are marking this maintenance coverage up considerably.
