ok anoher question re 4.6is 2002 NAV and 4.8is
I'm being offered the chance to swap the DVD nav and radio module out of a 4.8is into my 4.6is. Will this work? Anything to watch for?
Thanks! |

The radio module is a bit more involved only because you have to access it down in the spare tire compartment. It will probably take you about a half an hour to do that (I could do it in 5, but I've done it quite a few times). As for losing features, obviously the nav drive will be much slower when you put the MkIII into the 4.8is and it will use regional CD's rather then a national DVD. On the radio module swap, the 2002 radio module won't support AUX input or Sirius.

i think it'll lose the factory installed Sirius Software used for Satellite Radio.
outside of that, the others will have to chime in. |

yeah that's why I want to swap the radio module, so I can do sirius. As long as the 4.8is radio system will work fine, and the nav system will work fine I'll do it. I don't want this guy to get in trouble...
