Does the X5 have Tire Pressure Monitoring?
That said, tire pressure monitoring does not seem to be mentioned on the sticker, BMW's website, or in the owners manual. SO... What is the deal, does it have it or not, and if not what is that button for? |

There is no actual visual display of tyre pressure. The system (you probably know this) measures speed of truck vs revolutions of tyre, and so should this not match up, a visual an auditory alery will be displayed in the MID. The button being there, means you have TPM, also the button is for resetting the system once having replaced a flat tyre.
Cheers,

The new run flat tyres have tyre pressure warning.
If you have a puncture its possible to keep on driving for about 200miles. Basically theory is you wont realise you have a puncture and thus need a warning flash inside. If you have sports pack, which has low profile tyres then you wont have run flat tyres. These tyres are so thick walled and fat. Ugly things! Guess depends what tyres you have. This is all true for the new 5 series. Assume its the same principal on the X5, i have the sports pack so no run flats! :p
