Arrow LOWERED MY 4.6

Well finally got aound to doing this. I went with the eibach springs up front and DIS lowering for the rear. Its a 30mm drop all round and I have to say the ride is still good! Its very slightly harder and I find cornering more responsive but aside from that its just the same. As I'm not the tallest of people, another bonus is that entry and exit of the X is much easier an takes more stress off the seat lumbar. I have a few pics but as it was a dull, rainy day they aint the best, but I'll get some better ones done shortly. Pics dont it just anyway.

Looks really good! This is a mod I have been debating. I would love to see either a pic of a lowed X next to a stock height X or see it in person.

Looks great. I am glad you didn't try lower it down as far as possible. I hate that slammed look on a really classy auto.
Enjoy.

I can do that for you, my dad and my cousin both have 4.6's too, theirs are stock, so will get pics done tomorrow.

Yeah the 30mm drop is just right, plus the camber is still good, wheels sit well from the rear and front and ride is still comfortable. All in all, well worth the money! Was a fairly in-expensive conversion, front springs cost me £100UK and the BMW dealer charged me £120 for fitting the springs and £20 to lower the rear!

Sudesh: It looks a whole lot better with the drop. I went with H&R sport springs, but the results are the same ------- hunkered-down and mean. Now ya gotta lost the roof-rails my friend.......

Thanks for the comments! I was playing with that idea but undecided if I like the roof rail delete. I need to see loads more pics from various angles to get a feel for it. I'm not finished with the mods yet, I just received a set of M5 mirrors today that I'm hopefully going to mod to fit the X, I'm also working on having a "facelift look"; without the huge expense.

Sudesh: I'll tell ya what: Try to get in contact with PeteM. His E53 was black with lots of mods (tasteful thou), and the roof-rails gone was one of them........and as everyone knows, his E53 was prolly the best looking thing (gotta be 1 or 2) on this site.......I can't find photos of that beauty anymore.......
If you delete the rails it cleans the X up real nice; that coupled with the drop ------- you won't be able to take your eyes off that baby.......

Yeah I know PeteM from this site and the UK site. I think he has chaged his e53 to and e70 now as I seen some pics of the new car. Must drop him a message to see if he has any pics of the roof rail delete.
