...as I'll be collecting my first X5 (and to say I'm excited would be a mild understatement!).

Hi everyone, I'm a new member from the UK and just wanted to say 'hello' to you all.

As you'll see by the photos (assuming I've attached them correctly), I've just purchased a rather fetching 2002 4.6is. I'm extremely grateful to the previous owner, who must have got a little carried away with the options catalogue in the BWM dealership at the time of ordering, as he added almost all the things I could have asked for (with the exception of the running boards). He also installed an Alpine entertainment system in the rear, which should keep my kids quiet on the long journeys...at least, I hope it will!

Having spent the last few days browsing the x5world website, I'm planning a few subtle additions, namely the popular SMG wheel conversion, the retrofit running boards and a few bits and pieces from Dinan. But first, I just can't wait to drive it!

I'm looking forward to the X5 experience...and this site is a great introduction.
