What should I ask for My 05 4.8is?

I am getting ready to sell my truck and am going to put it up on autotrader and cars.com. I am trying to get an idea of what I should ask for it.

It is a 2005 4.8is. It has 25K miles on it and has tinted windows and brand new Michelins.

It has a couple wheel skuffs form the previous owner but other than that it is in flawless condition.

I am about to start a business and do not need 50k tied up in a car.

I was hoping to get at least 52-54K, but would like opinions on what people think it is worth.

I would see what they are selling for on Ebay and Cars.com That will give you a good indication fo what the market is willing to pay.

i would say somewhere around $48k. to be honest, older model x5 dont sell well these days, first of all people who could afford $54k car dont buy a used 05 doesn't matter its 3.0 or 4.8, they just dont consider buying it with that much money. second, the base price for a 07 new body model is around $54k too, well they will get trick into options too, but when they compare the numbers, the first thing hit them is the price. a friend just got a full loaded 07 3.0 for $57k in fairfax va. anyway, goodluck with the sale, i really hope you do sell it at high price so it makes me feel good about my e53 too.

Look what others are priced at. Then depending on how quick you want to sell it price it accordingly. I'd say right around $50k is right.

Price it around mid-high 50's - seems to be what similar 4.8's are being priced at.
What you end up getting will probably be closer to 50 depending on how willing or not you are to settle/sell.

Thanks!

I appreciate your responses...I was having a hard time determining based on the huge variation in the marketplace. Some low 50s, some high 50s and some CPOs in the early 60s.

I will price is around 55 and see how it goes.

Thanks,

Tom
