speed limit?

Do any other markets suffer with a speed limit warning at the national limit. I get a chime and a warning above 120kmh.

At least it's only one chime i guess. Had a few lease cars when I first moved out here and they chimed all the time above 120. A little bit inconvenient during a blast across the desert roads!!! Tried finding fuses for them, turning up the music, but they were always there.

I don`t know about a speed limit warning at the national limit, but there is a setting on the obc that lets you set a warning for when you reach the speed you set it to.

This is different. I have nothing set on that speed limit and this still comes up. It's a local law over here - just wondering if it happens anywhere else.

Wow, that is crazy! I cant believe BMW is even physically capable of putting a "speed limit" chime on a vehicle..The engineer for that one must be going crazy knowing hes responsible for that...Especially in a 4.8! Theres gotta' be a way to disable that thing...

Thanks for that 'The Big Easy'. Took some images of the car this morning, but borrowed the background image. Wasn't up early enough for sunrise today.

My X doesn't have a chime at any speed - I have had it up to 130mph and all it did is purr like a kitten

For sure your onboard computer needs to be reset.

If you go to your on-board computer settings, you can program the speed at which the chime comes on, or you can turn it off.
