trim around shifter and drivers seat (sport I think)

Hello fellow Xers,

I did a search and couldn't find any info on this. First, I need to remove the plastic surrounding my shifter as the wife managed to spill a bit of soda their and I'm sure it's sticky underneath - can't quite figure out how to remove it though. Second, my driver's seat is......squeeky. It's where the leather meets the plastic on the left side that holds all the controls for moving/memorizing seat position - have any of you experienced this and is there a way to stop the squeek?
