Mounting ballast for halogen to xenon conversion?

I am doing a halogen to xenon conversion. I already have the ballasts but they didn't come with any way to hold them in place. Are these the right mounting brackets for the ballasts?

Please see http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...01&hg=63&fg=05

You need no. 11, 12, 13 for fixing the ballast onto the bracket. Since the ballasts are not oem product, you have to make sure that the size of the ballasts are same with the oem one, otherwise, you may not fix them onto the brackets.

I suggest you buy the oem product, the Hella ballast, it comes with the rubber cap so that you can seal the plastic cover for HID bulb to prevent condensation.

I do have the OEM version. Here is a picture of them.

I purchased them through Ebay. Would the mounting brackets that I listed above not work?

Rico.

No. it does not work, too big to install into the originally designed place, unless you can find somewhere else under the hood to install them. Since you have the oem ballasts, then just buy the parts listed in the above link from BMW dealer and install them. The parts are very cheap, very easy to install and streight forward. Good luck!

You can actually run them down into the bumper to get them out of the way of the engine bay. There should be plenty of room down there.
