Certified Crazy?!?!?

I was driving to the grocery store yesterday and this older guy came running over to my drivers window...he said "what kind of car is that?!?! It's beautiful! Its WAY nicer than any of those $40,000 pieces of shit they're selling nowadays"!

Here is the problem with this. I was driving my 2002 Ford Taurus company car! I've had the X for a year now and never got comments like this.

Guy has to be crazy, right? or or

.. Some people will never get it man...

True story..I worked with a guy to who money was no option...Made millions in investments...He was in the market heavily for a new Sporty small, SUV type...Drove them all, CRV, Tribute, Freelander, etc., and an X3..Of course, he liked the X more than any of them, and then drove a..get this...An Aztek decked out with every option...Ran him almost 30 grand and he said he was happiest with that! WTF Chuck!?!

..Different strokes, different folks I guess, but that guy was nuts, Im sorry..He said the Aztek felt more "durable" than the X...Translation please?!

Was he an older guy wearing a t-shirt with an airbrushed bald eagle on the front?

Not to hijack your thread, but when I was in the Army, an old guy approached me at the Post gas station while I was gassing up my Pathfinder in between training flights. He started grilling me about "how can you be a soldier and drive a Japanese car?". I politely and respectfully told him I had driven every other SUV in that class and the Finder was my first choice. He just growled something and walked away disgusted.

To each their own, that guy and they guy who praised the Taurus just don't get it the same way we do.
