Iphone in 2001 X5
My X5 is 2001 with Navigation w/factory installed BMW phone (motorola); I just purchased IPhone 4s is there any way to intergrate 4s into my 2001 system to used handfree as the system was designed to do? I am the original owner and live in Arlington, VA and I have just topped 80,000 miles in my 2001 X5. I used the metro and walk a lot and have taken road trips to Mich, Okla, New York and NC and believe my X5 still has many years left. Please advise and thanks in advance. JShip ![]() |

I did this in my E38, and another simple thing you can do is go in eBay etc. and buy the updated microphone. It just snaps in, very simple. I did it because many friends reported the person on the other end of the line said it was a noticeable difference from the mic installed a decade ago. I think one mic is Green and one is Black, if I can find the PN# I will edit the post.

Another easy solution is a DICE MediaBridge. $300-400 and your iPhone is fully functional via BlueTooth.
