What are my options guys?...
I'm a big buggered from what I can tell. It's a June 2003, therefore non-angel eye, so no way to add them easily (thanks BMW). I know they did it to cure the condensation problem but why on earth not offer an upgrade to angels eyes (via Hella), as they did with the E39?! And to put the icing on the cake with bi-xenons, which nobody seems to do do an aftermarket swap-out for the entire unit. And - (forgot to mention this), don't want to lose the Xenon. Just want the AE look ! So I guess I'll just have to wait for those facelift parts to come up. Or will I? Any ideas guys. Cheers. Kev Last edited by Kev; 10-12-2007 at 02:29 PM. |

The facelift project sure is costly, unless you get in a accident and insurance kicks in. I know some other members here have worked with their insurance companies to purchase facelifted parts. Did you read this article?: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/b...ed-bmw-x5.html

I had a first dibs on a rear-ended 2004 write-off which was supposed to be providing the parts but something went wrong there so playing the waiting game...
It was going to cost about £1000 for everything, but now I have the time I'm looking at the alternatives such as a headlamp/grilles swap with maybe an OEM aerodynamic spoiler. But my main problem remains. How to get Angel Eyes on a 2003 X5 with factory Bi-Xenon. Lets put it to the vote (vendors - eg jlevi - please participate). Are there ANY options out there other than a complete facelift? Cheers. Kev |
