Thinking of selling soon... How much is my X5 3.0 2002 manual worth?

As winter is soon coming, I am thinking of selling my car soon and leasing a new car... I am thinking $20k firm..

2002 X5 3.0
Sapphire black / black leather interior w/ sports seats
CPO warranty until 7/27/2008
70k miles
5-speed manual transmission
Sport
Premium
Rear Climate
Xenon
Rear self leveling
Cold weather

Clutch done at 52k miles (didn't need it, but car was at dealer w/ warranty work being done and transmission had to come out so SA asked if I wanted a new clutch paying for parts only), Brand new CV boots last month, inspection 2 at 60k miles including differential fluid change... Excellent condition... Everything works as it should ie. no missing pixels on radio / dash etc. Most typical X5 problem areas have already been addressed ie. new instrument cluster / radio in last year, climate control unit replaced etc..

Too bad I wasnt a member b4. If you still had it, maybe I'd have bought it from you. But if you still have it and are still contemplating price, I just paid $15500 for a 01 with 69k miles. And it needed some work. I'd say ask for $19k

$15,000-$18,000 probably. Not to bash on it but with that many miles and coming out of warranty, the person buying it will be purchasing at the top of their limit and probably not know a whole lot about typical X5 issues.

I traded this car in back in late Oct. I got $17k for it on trade... I'm a Audi S4 Avant owner now.. $15k-$18k seems real low for private sale given I got $17k trade in without haggling..

I disagree about the mileage being a lot that is only about 12K miles a year so it's pretty good. I have an '01 with 79K miles on it with pretty much the same options except I have an auto and I would sell it for $18K. I do agree the warranty you have is not a great selling point since it's about to expire and also the manual is harder to sell. I think your price is about right.

Nobody was looking at the date you posted, just seeing that someone responded YESTERDAY. BTW, $17K was a steal....in your favor.
