AFE intake=Better MPG

since installing my afe intake my MPG went from 15 to 18mpg. whooo hooo!

I find it hard to believe that your MPG increased that much with that simple change. MPG is important to all car makers and if that easy to increase MPG they would of done it.

Even if it is true, are any of you willing to trade the added air flow along with the added dirt into engine (AFE: more airfow = less filtration) for the slight gain in few economy?
