Got my cables but no TFM ?!!?
I know it's probably a simple enough, but I recently bought a TV in motion and AV in cable for my '03 from a guy on ebay 'Navman'.
What I received was a fairly decent looking blue plugged male to female lead for the TV in motion.... ...and a pair of phono (RCA) leads with female one end and just two pins at the other (something I could have knocked up in 10 minutes ).... and no instructions apart from : Audio In : Black>Pin 5 Red>Pin4 Video In : T/Black>Pin 15 F/Black>Pin 6 So is the TV In motion is just a case of unplugging the Tuner and placing this cable in-line? Do I need to disconnect the battery? Apparantly holding the fast/rewind switches it on/off But for the AV input? I'm planning to use a slimline PS2 as DVD player and console. Probably mount it in the glovebox so need to run four wires from front to back of the car I guess. But where are the pins that the labels mention (pin 4,5,6 & 15)? Into the TV in motion lead will be difficult unless I scotchlock into the cable but it will be nigh on impossible to workout which cable goes to which pin... I was quite disgusted with the lead to start with but a bit of research shows that this seems to be the normal way that the cables are sold ! Oh, and what happens to the AV input in the back of the centre console? Does this get superceded or over-ridden? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Kev |
