Fuel Filter, now wont start

Since I did the fuel filter change, it wont start. I dont think its getting gas? Am I supposed to prime or fill the fuel filter up? I tried letting the fuel pump run a bunch of times and just turning the key off/on. Nothing....
?? Tried it last night and again this morning? NOTHING, no fuel...

Did you pull the pump fuse? Did you put it back?

I know some people like to pull the fuse and let the car run out of gas to minimize spillage.

nope didnt pull it, just drained the line into a gatorade bottle.

EVERYONE should change this more often. You should have seen how nasty the gas and dirt was comign out of that filter. I'll prolly start doing this one a year (15K or so).

I think I switched the lines on one side.

I'll get it going.

If you need to change your fuel filter once a year I'd question where you're getting your fuel.

the filter on the x5 is quite large. you should be ok changing it at the recommended 100k interval. In changed it at 60k I'm kind of anal.

Got it fixed, I had the lines switched, it fired right up.

Im going to change it yearly. You should have seen the shit that poured out of the filter when i tipped it to drain it.

Black nasty gas, and crud...

It really is easy once you do it.. and dont get the lines mixed up.

I use shell super 93 ALWAYS unless Im taveling and cant.

The filter is simple, you drop the panel under the car (16-18 bolts), then take off the 4 lines connecting to the filter. Have a gatorade bottle or small bottle ready for gas to leak into. 2 screws drop the filter out, reconnect it, replace the panel bolts.... DONE.. clean fuel for a while.

That's not normal, maybe you should switch to a different gas?
