M5 steering wheel swap, what wheel did you have before? I hate my steering wheel! How hard is the replacement from 4 spoke to 3 spoke?

two bumps on the questions? A) is the 4.6 /4.8 cluster easily done with cluster modification rings and colored backing?
and the swap from 4 spoke to 3 spoke what is involved besides a new airbag

For your cobbled together 4.6is instrument cluster, see this link in our Group Buy Forum. I guess if you changed your gauge faces and put on the aluminum gauge rings you'd have a similar look. I had that thought when I was installing my aluminum gauge rings. Good luck with this. There are others who have simply purchased a new gauge cluster and installed that. It is possible but the oil temp gauge is inoperable.

The 4 spoke non-sport to 3 spoke Sport or M Sport/E46 M3/E39 M5 steering wheel should not require anything other than the round airbag. If you opt for a E46 M3 SMG paddle shift steering wheel you will also need an adapter ring available from BMW. Of course you'd need a bunch of other materials too.

Question: Once you add running boards to x5 with non flare or wheel arches, are you able to add the wheel arches later on and keep running boards? Or do you have to get wheel arch retro fit and running boards together?
