Little is on a distinguished road
Newbie to the forums, current owner of benz, looking to move

Hey what up everyone, i'm Jim from New Jersey right near the beach, haha. Well, here's my story. I bought an '01 Benz E430 4matic last july and the car has been great. I love the car, but it is a pretty boring car to drive. Now i have a serious itch for a new car. The only car i am willing to buy right now, would be the 545i loaded to the gills, black on black. I drove it maybe a month ago and man its sick. But for some reason, i've been reconsidering and now maybe looking into some kinda suv/sav. What got me looking was the when i just recently saw the new Range Rover Sport come out. That thing is gorgeous, but been doin a ton of reasearch and the rovers seem like they have a real shitty track record. I'm goin to lease, so nothing would come outta my pocket but still, i wanna drive the car too. Next, i find this site and see some really hot ass X5's and I'm really considering it. This is what i would want in the X5:

- black on black
- Premium package
- Navigation
- Sports Package ( I really don't like the wheels it comes with on this though...)

Can you get the new 4.8 wheels, those are sick, just like the 545i with sport package. Any major problems anyone is runnin into? It looks like the truck has very little rear cargo room, i snowboard alot in the winter and usuallly will have a carload of friends, would i be able to fit boards and people in the car or would i need a rack?? Last thing, how is the navigation in this truck, no i-drive?? I'm still gonna go see the RRS up close and personal and take it for a drive, would have to drive this ride too.

Well if you are looing at a RR or a 545i than I assume you are talking about the 4.4i and not the 3.0i. You can get the 4.8is wheels but not as a factory option. You can get aftermarket wheels for much cheaper than the OEM ones which you are looking at probably $4000 with new tires. The tires are huge and expensive!

You will probably want to get a rack if you are going to be hauling a lot of friends and equipment. The navigation is nice but there is no i-drive which may or may not be appealing to you. Personally if you like the 545i and are considering the 4.4i and not the 4.8i I might look at the 550i coming out in September. That is if you like a lot of power. 367HP and the price is about the same as the 545i. Of course it is no SAV but it promises to be sick!
