newbie looking to purchase a 2002 x5

hi all,
i'm currently an A4 owner and looking to jump to a X5, saw a sweet one at the dealer lot. 2002 w/ premium and cold package with only 26k miles on it. dealer wants $24k, is that a fair deal?
also it didn't come with xenons so i started digging around ebay and found lots of these all in one projector/hid packages, they have the halo rings and the led's on top.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-03...spagenameZWDVW
anyone have any experience with those projector/hid packages? they look pretty cool and i'm just worried about the quality/install difficulties.
any info would be great.
also i want the ipod integration kit, what's the best one to buy?
thanks everyone!!!!

If the vehicle is truly a 2002 with the original lights (none changed out in an accident or anything) then stick with the OEM lights and buy a set of DDI PPI from someplace like um nitza and get them to refer you to a local installer if you don't want to do it yourself. MUCH better look than the ones I've seen on ebay IMHO.

As for ipod intergration..depends on the set up of the car/nav or non-nav and few other specifics but otherwise take your pick. Visit the folks at EAS and I am sure they can point you in MULITPLE right directions! Enjoy!

DDI PPI=predator premium ice angel rings. Get the kit and ask them for a local installer near you.

Welcome! 24K $ is a good deal if it's exactly the X5 you are looking for. Is the "dealer" a BMW dealer? If not, have a BMW mechanic go over the car before you buy. What other options does it have? 4.4, sport package, etc? Don't settle for less than you want or be seduced by the first drive. 26K miles is suspiciously low, can the dealer confirm the history of maintenance to prove this?
