What kind of oil for a 530i.

Hey guys!
My dad got a low oil light on his 530i and it is indeed low. He has to drive somewhere for a business meeting and does not have time to take it to a service center until he gets back. Does anyone have a brand of oil that they would recommend using?
Thanks,
David

Castrol Synthetic (5W30) is a safe oil to use to top it off.

Just take it in to the dealer. No appointment neccesary to top off+ just because you got the oil light it does ean it needs/they will give you an oil service.

Yep got the Castrol 5w30 oil. The reason why we did not take it to the dealer: 1. Out of warranty 2. My dad is picking someone up at 7:45 3. My dad would loose sleep over it. Thanks for your suggestion thou.

Right now I have a summer job of a custom home theater company and the owners husband owns Bavarian Imports. They have all the computers and it is so cool what they can do. I am going to take my mum's car to work one day and have them plug it up.
