key battery

Key (remout control) rechargable battery ..,but lost some juce I guess..all of it..!!
Did not use it a month or so..(advetirous repaint job)
It does open the door and turning engin of my X normally...
How long it takes to juce it up , ....( wille riding x5..)..if I assume it still ( key battery) capable to hold the charge?
My wifes key did do the job either as distant remout controlled device ( by speeping ing in her purce) may lost charge too or ??!!
Or I'm dealing with receting bord PC and keys itself?
Or I'm looking to spend extra $$ to order a new ..so many words ..Is that possible to change this inside keys batteries??

Dzhoka,
The handbook says that you should rotate your two keys every 6 months as they are recharged when plugged into the ignition. If you are doing this, and the keys are still not holding a charge, then you could possibly be in need of new batteries.
