Hi gang,
I live in San Francisco, CA and just got a job offer in NYC. Seriously considering taking it. I want to bring my X5 with me. My question to you guys is, what would be the best way to go? 1) Get a towing hitch installed ($700+) and rent a UHaul trailer ($700) for a total of $1,400 2) Rent a UHaul truck ($1,500) and a Car Trailer ($?), put the X5 on a car trailer and tow her behind the truck (unsure of the price as neither UHaul nor Penske/Budget would quote price as their Car Trailer weight limit is 4k lbs, while x5 is close to 5k lbs) 3) ??? Please advise as to the best way to do it, I am open to suggestions. I don't have much stuff to move, so as far as the truck, I would need roughly a 6'x12' loading area. ALSO, if anyone can recommend the best route from SF to NYC, I'd appreciate it.
