If you refer to the central air vent directly above the Sat nav/Radio screen then it's real easy, just a bit fiddly first time.
On the bottom edge of the vent there are 2 spring clips pushing downward towards the sat nav screen. Place a flat blade screwdriver in below the bottom vane dead centre on each vent and gently lift them while wriggling the air vent. Since you have a new vent you will be able to see the location of the clips on it.
The vent then rotates upwards and out and is just retained by the control cable, which has some slack in it
You should be able to detach the cable and reassemble in the reverse order with the new vent.
Can't help if you need the other end of the cable as I've never done that part.
