I then took it to BMW Palm Springs after I explained what happened. They kept it for 2 days and when I got the call to come pick it up they told me that my DVD aftermarket system connected through my Nav system was the reason my X's computer went nuts. EAS installed that system a year and a half ago never had a problem. The battery dies and they decide to blame the DVD system as the issue. They then tried to charge me $260 plus because it wouldn't be covered unde warranty. I agrgued my point and didn't have to pay the money, but they unplugged the DVD system and refused to fix it. As I was picking up my X my buddy was talking with a sales rep. who said it's common when a X's battery dies that the computer's brain will malfunction and service will make up stories in order to get some extra money. Has anyone else ever had this problem or am I the first. PS.....TOM AT EAS I NEED YOU TO LOOK AT THE SYSTEM TO RECONNECT IF POSSIBLE.
