[FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']This is what I´ve got from the internet. "There is one PM module in each of the Front Door. The module is connected to the General Module 3 through the P-Bus. It controls the door lock, window motor, mirror motors and mirror heater. It senses the seat memory switch, door latch, window switch and mirror adjust switch and controls the appropriate motor directly and/or notifies the GM3 module via the P-Bus. If you are looking at the car wiring diagram you will see connector numbers X1128, X1129 & X887 on the drivers side door and connector numbers X1130, X1131 & X889 on the passengers side.PM-BT Module Part Numbers
61356904249
61356904243
61356924934 Latest P/N (
$209.57 at ECS Tuning)"
I will disasemble the passenger door panel tomorrow and verify that the PM-BT module is right there... hopefully.

Guys it's called "switch unit, driver's door". Look here for 3.0, part #1 or #2 if you need the whole switch. I don't know if that switch module is available separately:

RealOEM.COM * BMW E53 X5 3.0i SWITCH WINDOW LIFTER

I´ve change both switches, left door and right door with no success. In my opinion the problem is located at the PM-BS Module. Find a complete explanation of where is the module and its characteristics at wxw.bmwmotorsports.org/BMW_docs/x5zkeIII.pdf I´m now trying to find out where to purchase this part. Any ideas where to find?

Passenger Door

The same thing happened to me last year
I managed to open it by continuously thumping on the outside of the door with my fist whilst pulling at the door handle. I also repeated the process inside the car. It did eventually open allowing me to change the lock mechanisim Hope that helps.

Simon.

According to this article, there MAY not be separate module or that module MAY not be used:

BMW PM-BT Module

"The PM module is used on cars that use the BMW GM3 module like the E38 7-series 194-2001 and E39 5-series 1995-2004. I thought that the E53, X5 would use this module too, since it uses the GM3, but, it doesn't appear on realoem.com".

Also, some modules need to be coded to each vehicle.

Hey weasel ... where are ya!

I have new findings, the E53 X5 (mine is 2000 year model) does not have the PM module. I´ve opened myself the passenger door panel and no module. I´ve check internally, around the globe box as well and no module at all!

I also have received an answer from Bavarian auto parts www.bavauto.com regarding the purchase of this part. They advised me that this part is not in the BMW X5.

Any idea what would be the system/module that is failing or reaching the passenger door actuator and power windows instead?

I´m still without solving my problem... pretty frustrating. Hope any of you can help me.

Look a few posts up and you'll see that everything is in the driver switch

How do you open all the windows with the remote? Do all x5's do this?
