You could still order the current model X5 since they are coming out with the 2006 before the redesign kicks in.

Thats the problem. There are "spy shots" out there, and more pics from fairly reputable sources. The problem is, some of them are beautiful, and some look like freakin' beefed up Pintoes. You still got until late 2006(Oct) before they'll be on sale anyway. With an X, you cant lose. Or with any Bimmer for that matter. Ive sold 4 within 2 years of their model year, and made every penny back on resale. X is second on highest resale behind the Sequoia.

So if you decide next year that you want the new one, slap a coat of Zaino on it, put a sign in the window.. $$$$$$

Ye,a but the problem is October 06' is only like a year and 2 months away, I wanted to get a 3 Year LEASE, not BUY, So when the new model comes out I will be screwed.

If you lease you will be safer than buying. If the value drops because the new model comes out it should not affect your lease. right? I just turned in my MY02 5er and they didn't ding me because the e60 is out. Not sure if I follow.

You should lease now, then in 3 years if you like the new model lease it for 3 years. That will give you a year or two to get the kinks out of the new model and the whole time you are enjoying the e53.

Comparing the X to an ML is like comparing a hershey's kiss to a turd. A 2 year lease is expensive and you really need to wait at least a year for the new model to mature. If you get a 3 year lease today you will be right on track. If you don't want to drive around an older body style than either buy or pay for the 2 year lease..not a wise decision but its yours to make.

I just dont understand how it is not a wise descision because if the new x5 come sout next october the 2 year lease will give me 1 whole year for them to fix it, the 3 year lease will give me 2 years(thats to long) is it possible to do a 2 year lease with 3 year option or something?

It is only wise if you want to spend about another 25% on the lease payment. That is up to you. Depending on which model you are looking at and the options you may be able to spend that money wiser and 3 years is not a long time for a car you love. If on the other hand you hate the car than 2 years may be too much. It is up to you. Leasing really isn't a great deal for some people and for others it is just right. 3 years is definitely going to give you the best payment but if you don't care about the payment than go 2 years or better yet go 1 and then you can get the MY07 style the day it comes out.
