I am selling my 00 X5 4.4 75,000 miles. And wondered if anyone had ideas on the best way to go about selling it. I am not getting another car just yet so i am selling it and it wont be a trade in.

Probably worth between 12,000-15,000 depending on condition and options. Try Craigslist.com and try Carmax to get an idea of the absolute cheapest price you could get (Carmax low balls like crazy)

I recommend going to
www.edmunds.com - they are pretty good at giving an accurate market value.

www.kbb.com - Kelly Blue Book is still a household name and many people still check with their values before purchasing a vehicle.

www.nadaguides.com - Many financial institutions follow the NADA guides values when deciding how much money they will lend for a specific car.

I've had great personal success with buying and selling vehicles on www.craigslist.org

I recommend NOT accepting emails from people, and just list a cell phone or work number asking people to call you for details.
This helps filter out those people that aren't serious at all. I've wasted a lot of time emailing back and forth with people who never had the means to go through with a deal.
