Dead Pixel Radio

I'm contemplating buying a new MID - but before i do, I want to see if i can fix the dead pixels. It's more of an annoyance - but I pulled the head unit the other day and opened it up. I just saw the dead pixel article on home page for the OBC - and someone on ebay who sells the instructions (thanks to x5world i got it for free - almost paid the $7!!!), he said if i can get to the MID then it should work as well. I know he's just trying to make his $7 - but anyone here done that? anyone good at this stuff who can explan what i would have to do different for hte head unit?

I might try any way this weekend and IF i get it done - i'll post pictures. I just installed Dice Ipod kit with the 2point5 astray - VERY NICE! I'm loving it. Sirius coming this weekend.
