Express up and down inop on one window

02 4.4i, the passenger side window will not close via the express up option from the driver's switch or the passenger switch.

It will open via express down from either switch. It will close via either switch if the switch is held during closing.

All of the other windows work fine.

Is this something that the dealer may have program?

I have had car for 3 days, so I don't know the prior history.

If the door panel has been taken off and the connectors not fulled locked into place on the back of the window switch block, that problem can occur.

Looks like a trip to the dealer to get it programed

u can program this yourself. u hold the switch all the way up (or down) for 5 - 10 seconds and it sets the auto up/down option.

i had the same problem with non-functioning auto up...but the reprogramming didnt work.

i removed the door panel and found an unplugged wiring harness. plugged it in and it worked.

so...if your window goes auto down, but not auto up...it might be an unplugged wire.

Thanks

All the wires are plugged in. The hold the button for 5 to 10 seconds did not work either.
I am back with a trip to the dealer at some point and time.
Plus I need some other functions turned on like the DRL, radio and ac memory, auto door lock at 5 mph and the such.

Thanks for the advice.
