All I can say is that Toyo tires perform well in tropical climate. I have 19" rims with Toyo S/T 255/50/r19 tires.

I have the Toyo Proxes staggered 20" set still on mine, and the little NJ storm today was no problem. I certainly wouldn't race around with them in the ice and snow, but they were fine. Actually better then expected. I'm changing back to my 18" winter set on Saturday anyway. I'm mostly worried about the potholes after the roads are plowed on those 20" rims if I left them on. Not worth it.
