Question DSC, ABS, BRAKE lights

I have no idea if it's related, but last Wednesday I used the HDC going down a hill in the snow. X5 drove fine the rest of the way and on Thursday. It then sat still Friday morning through Sunday night. When I started driving it again, and pressed the brakes, it felt like I was on ice or something because the brakes felt like they were pumping. The DSC (triangle with !), ABS, and BRAKE lights all came on. The BRAKE light would flash from orange to red. Then, the brakes started working fine the rest of my drive home.

For the past few days, every time it's been sitting for several hours, the brakes act goofy when I first start driving, sometimes the same lights come on, sometimes they don't. This morning was the worst. I started to drive, the lights came on when I applied the brakes and they barely stopped the X. I started to accelerate and it wouldn't go anywhere. It was like the brakes were stuck. I managed to get it going, then they were fine after that.

I'm going to call my SA this afternoon and try to get in tomorrow morning.

Anyone know what's going on? Has this happened to anyone else? (No "try searching" replies *cough*barry*cough*).

Hmmm...I did some searching around the site and it seems that everyone else who had the lights appear didn't have the issues I had. They only needed sensors and wiring harnesses replaced. It seems mine is actually a true issue?

*almost* the same thing happened to me the other day... DSC, Brakes, and ABS all lit up when i hit the brakes, and yeah, i was going a bit downhill, not too steep, I-78W going to Holland Tunnel, so i decided to pull over the gas station, turned off my X, after 10 seconds or so, turned it on again, the lights were still there...

drove it 2 more miles to where i park my car everyday (lights still on), turned the X off, waited 3 minutes, start the X again, and viola, its gone...

i dont know what happened but still im happy its gone now...

Sounds like it might be time for a dealer diagnostic.
