05 voice recog?

recently 05' X5 4.4i, was built 12/04 has nav, and that assist thing on the roof. does it have bluetooth/voice recognition? i see the module in the trunk area with the bluetooth icon and all that info here whats on it
had this number which i think is the part # if it helps 84.11 9123 191-01
it has a pk number and all that
now on the steering wheel i see a voice recog button but it doesnt do anythin when pressed. the R/T button just shows empty phonebook.also my vehicle doesnt have any cellphone cradle in the center console.
from what i understand 05 x5's built from10/04 onward have voice built into the bluetooth/assist module. thanks for any advice.

I have an 05 4.4 which came with Bluetooth. But voice recog had to be added later.

what was the part number to add later? I was hoping TCU recall might fix it.
