I always schedule a loaner, so I never get a ride to and from the dealer. As far as the SA, I normally give him $25 - $30 depending on what he's done. I have also been known to give him a bottle of wine, and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from Italy (eight bucks) for his wife. These small tokens of appreciation have saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars in discounts, "coupons," and "warranty" work (even when the car was out of warranty). It's worth it.

I have never even thought of tipping the SA, but it seems like an exelent idea.

Nope! If you give them a 5 then they are getting more then a tip. (Like a new car every year for $80.00 a month)

BMW NA takes care of there employees.
