Wheel arch trims for 20" wheels
Hi all
I've searched several keywords but I'm unable to find this answer here. My questions are - Do you need to have the 4.6is wheel arch flares fitted to accommodate the staggered 20" wheels (9.5" front - 10.5" rear) with the 275/40s and 315/35s ? Are there any issues with rubbing or protruding if keeping the standard trims? Thanks in advance. |

Hi and welcome.
No, you don't have to have the arches. But they look very good with the staggered 20's and would be recommended. No, there are no issues with rubbing. If you search the site you can find pictures of X5's with 20's with and without arches so you can compare. Last edited by ncx; 12-14-2007 at 11:07 AM. |

Thanks ncx
I'm in enough sticker shock with wheel and tyre cost without adding the wheel arch trims too it. Thats great, I can do the wheels and add the trims later. The accounts department (wife) won't complain so much in smaller amounts. |

You may want to look into replica rims. There are many posts and many opinions on these. I bought two AFS 10.5 in 20's and I am quite happy with them.
I do have two 9.5in Type 87 20's for sale. They have some burnt on brake dust and will need either paint ro powdercoating. |
