Oh no, don't go! All the quirks of the X5 make it the most interesting ride on the planet! Actually, I'm on a first name basis with my SA as well, but it's not for our X5 - the 550i hasn't been cooperating lately. We've had very good luck with our X5 and now have 79K miles and counting. Good luck in your new ride and keep us posted!

I've had the same problems on my 03 and I used bulb grease to fix the problem. You can get free packets of it at Autozone in the bulb aisle.

ya got the taillight off ebay for next to nothing, I tried a ton of different things, but i didnt try that. If it happens again I'll try that!!
