Passenger Door Lock Troubles
The only reason I am confused is if there is another mechanism to make sure the car lock works when you press the FOB? Is there a quick fix, like some lithium grease or something, or is it indeed the actuator telling me it is failing. Thanks

Most likely the actuator. Another member of the cheap and crappy OEM parts list.

All the locking features use the actuator. That's the first place to start. Know problem area and cheapest to eliminate.
