Legitimate questions are being asked. People are trying to understand why would you want to do this. It's kinda like lighted wheels. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...61409983798247

I believe folks were trying to be kind in asking more than once because no one wanted to be impolite by saying this mod seems a bit immature.

I see what you're saying bro. I remember the old DTMpower days, when everyone seemed to have strobes in their E36's. Looked pretty cool, I think it'll look pretty interesting, especially if you start to mod your X (rims, kit, drop).

Just trying to be 'helpfull', (sic)...

Is this like a Parking Lot Meet where all the gang shows up to show off

I thought your X was still down, based on your rambling thread & pics,
vis a vis the scratched piston and stlr fiasco?
I think it would look nice to have them on...as for driving with them on the street i really don't need any extra attention especially from cops...some people do..... others don't ....cops do give ticketets/warnings for having strobes on while the car is in motion on the street...

An A6 driver has had his headlight drilled into and they look great...however i will not start drilling into my car just to make these things...thus asking the question if its possible to have the high beam itsels just flash/blink w/e

U can call me immature or w/e no offense taken but after all it is just another mod on another car... others put mufflers that can be heard from a mile away...cops don't even have to see ya to know ur speeding...so really this can't be the most immature thing u've seen

My X was down ...I have changed the piston and it runs great...there is just some oil seeping onto the spark plug that makes it shut down....so once every 3-4 weeks i just clean it... now if i get my $ back thats another story...

Anyhow i see no solution to what i am trying to achieve....i guess i can forget about 'strobing' my front and just join the crowd with the angel eyes

There is a fantastic site in England dedicated to enthusiasts who sort of missed the point in their customising:

http://www.barryboys.co.uk/mx/

Truly worth scanning some of the posts...

Seriously, most of here just get what you are trying to do and your question prob won't be answered here. Might try a mod site or drifting site. imho. Good luck...
