Flipping tires around?

Hello, I just had my rear tires flipped from the inside to the outside. I have the perelli's, and the inner part of the tires have worn more then the outside part. I know its the neg. camber but I just wanted to know if this will be safe for me to drive on? I just wanted to wear even all around before I fork out another G-Note for a full set. Thanks...

I did the same thing on my 19" Pirelli's. It really annoyed me to replace the tires because of poor wear. I caused the problem by over inflating them. I ran 35 pounds on the last set. This time, I'm running 32 pounds and the wear is much more even. I'm sure someone is going to say you shouldn't because there asymmetrical tires, but I got another 5K miles before I replaced all 4 tires.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
Tires are cheap and probably the biggest safety item, if they are worn or questionable replace them!

Your life is worth a lot more than the cost of new rubber.

It's not so much the "asymmetrical" part that I'm worried about, I'm more concern with the sidewall strength. If you look at the tire closely, almost every single tire manufacturer will specify an "inside" and an "outside" mounting on the sidewall and I think this has to do with the load withstanding capabilities of each sidewall design. When you think about it, the outside sidewall always take the brunt of the force during maneuvers. Flipping the tires from side to side will in essence make the "inner" sidewall sitting on the "outside". Flipping the tires just to get an extra 5k miles isn't worth the risk, IMHO. Just because everything worked out well last time doesn't guarantee that it will the next time.
