Battery Screw Bracket Snapped
![]() My Battery was dead and needed replaced so I went to AutoZone and got one, install went without a hitch, however when I was tightening the nut on the negative terminal post, the screw portion snapped in half. The bottom part appears to be a mini-metal bracket that pushes the clamp together to make a good connection on the post. AutoZone did not have these. Does anyone know what they are called and/or where I can find one? Right now I used a wing nut upside down that seemed to do the trick, but i'm uneasy about it. Thanks!

this happened to me too!! I basically got a new cable from my indie mechanic. he took one off another car. not sure how much it was for the part. the cable is about 3ft, and on the other end is metal that gets hooked to car and screwed down. if you have another car, maybe take the entire thing out and go to autozone and see if they can replace the cable.. ???
