cd changer wiring
Please could anyone enlighten me. Ive recently purchased a 2002 3.0D X5 but there was no changer in the boot. I looked on ebay and everyone on there is saying that these changers are suitable for E36, E39, E46, X5 etc. So I bought one. When i looked at the wiring in the boot I seem to have two quite large block connectors with largish round pins not doing anything sort of factory wrapped, but looking at the rear of the standard changer the two blocks are quite small with little pins. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a connector I can buy? Do I have to search anywhere else for these wires or is it just not compatible? Many thanks in advance |

Those are not the pins for the cd changer, run a quick search and you will find lots of details and pics of the connector. Keep looking around all the connectors below near the amp, sometimes you gotta open the trunk spare tire area too.
