OEM filters

Who makes the OEM air and oil filters for BMW? Mann, Mahle, Bosch or all of the above?

Just wondering why your asking? If you want to put OEM back in it then call your local BMW dealer, they would know. Any of those makes would be fine for the X

As klnteg said, any of the brands you listed should be just fine for your X5. For those that want to stay all-OE, the filters shouldn't be too much more expensive at your BMW dealership than they are at an OEM parts vendor like BMAParts.com...

I usually get mine from autohausaz.com - only 'bout $5 and, with three German cars here, I can usually order enough stuff to get free shipping. The web site says Mann/Mahle/Hengst, but they've always sent the Mann in a green and yellow box.

Mann is the OEM for BMW filters.

I too, shop at autohausaz for my BMW parts. YOu can't beat their prices as well as custome service (returns, etc)

Dan, several brands are OE. BMW buys from a variety of suppliers. I've received Mann and Mahle oil filters, both in OE boxes from the dealer.
