Unhappy DSC / 4x4 INACTIVE

Hey guys... I am new here, and after reading everything that was related to my problem, I decided to ask you too... I have a error message since 2 days (I was travelling and didn't have a chance to stop to a dealer yet)... DSC / 4X4 INACTIVE with ABS light on BRAKE warning light on, 4x4 light on and tire pressure control light on. Sometimes the BRAKE warning light turns to red... If I stop the engine for 2 to 5 minutes and start again things go smooth till the lights turn back on. It happents suddenly, at different speeds ... ahh and the most important thing. My tacho is running strange. Sometimes it shows the right speed, and sometimes whenn I steer extremely easy right or left it goes to 0 and starts rising again.....

All those started after I washed my car with a high pressure hot watter hose in a gas station while travelling...

Any ideea on what might cause that?

Thanks in advance

:xoutpost:

A lot of the computer systems and sensors in the X5 are tied together. The brake sensors talk to the DSC, which talks to X-Drive, which talks to the transmission, and then in the other direction as well. So if something's up with your brakes, it could in turn trigger a "DSC inactive" fault. It's tough to speculate without a full diagnostic and having the BMW technicians take a look at it. I would get to a BMW center ASAP.
