I can't figure out how to shut it down and have read all the manuals. No reference to stopping Assist calls, only how to initiate. Help please, driving with no music is Thanks in advance!!! |

Problem not resolved, I didn't get any tips. The local BMW dealer is less than helpful. I'm thinking of tracing the fuse for the BMW Assist/bluetooth/communication system and pulling it, any idea of its location? Maybe that'll force a system reset when I re-insert it. Do you think this will help?

Wow! I thought my US X5 4.4 was lonely and wanted to talk to someone. Twice, it constantly initiated calls to BMW Assist. The people are nice, but I don't want the service. The calls are in rapid succession - eliminating all hope of music.
Any solutions? |

Nope, pressed the buttons etc. - All obvious fixes completed to no avail. I had the Button replaced when it happened before. Truck gets lonely, calls of its own accord.

I got it sorted out by pulling all the telephone fuses. One in the glove box and two in the cargo area. This apparently reset the phone and allowed the sound system to function properly. Driving is now fun again ;-)
