I figured out why I wasn't able to reset my OBC functions...

Because I have the wrong unit installed in the X!!!! Looks like the PO swapped out the MID before he/she traded it it.





Now, I have the CWP, PP and rear climate package, and the window sticker does show the car came with the on board computer. Even the owners manual refers to the BC button on the MID. Could this be why my Bluetooth isn't working either??? I have an 08/04 build X5 and the owners books came with a Bluetooth passkey.

Does anyone have an extra MID that would like to sell?

Dunno what year your X is, but that's all my '01 gives, too.
Though I can dig into the "computer" via the BizCD/radio and look
at more stuff, none of which is handy to do so, and only of mildly
passing interest, imo.

37,000 for a bmw, and the computers has the same capability as a 1998 jeep I had... awesome!
