Little help on the rattle/squeak theme .. Steering column ?
My 03 4.4i has a really annoying squeak which coming from the trim surrounding the steering column. I know this because if I fully retract the steering wheel, it goes away and it comes back the instant I bring the wheel forward to a comfortable driving position.

Anyone had a similar experience ?

My options are :

1. Dealer at $110/hr to look at it
2. Have a go myself
3. Grow 6" longer arms and drive with the wheel retracted
