F@!kin' Dent!!!!!! (Dent Pics)

So my friend decided to take a nice big jump on my hood and left a dent that the repair shop wants 2300 dollars to fix because they say that they have to replace the hood because if they bump it out and bondo it it the bondo will just crack. Then they have to put the new hood on and paint it to match the rest of the body. The repair shop wanted a grand to do the bondo option but they thought it was worthless as i said before. I would post a pic but they dont really show it well. Idk what to do. I dont want to have to have my friend pay 2300 bucks. Anyone got any ideas? I will try to get a pic tomorrow.
I thought of maybe a salvage yard getting a good hood off one of the rear ended x5's. Mine is a 2003 black 4.4.

Your friend jumped on your hood?

Black is the hardest color to fix via body work, go the replace route.

The title of your thread should be "F#@kin' Ex-friend"!!!

Luckily all of my friends know how particular I am about my vehicles and would never think about doing something like that..

I've had similiar excellent experience with Dent Wizard, although I think it has a lot to do with the individual skills.

If you were closer to NJ, I have a GREAT guy..

But any qualified PDR shop should be able to fix it for a lot less, especially if there isnt any paint damage

Most car dealers have a paintless dent repair services nowadays - it would be worth looking into.

I have had several big dents taken out of the hood of the x5. It looked like someone stood on it to clean the top of the roof! Dent wizard took them all out. I also have heard about dry ice popping the dents out too.

Please tell us more about the ice method... Will that method work for small dings in the door also? What is the exact process?

Def an EX-friend. I would say it could break even with his hospital bill.. give or take a few $. Was he drunk? Sorry to hear that man - I have an annoying dent from a NYC taxi passenger opening the door on rear fender.. mostly annoying though.

In all seriousness - is there a dry ice method?
