Bumper removal

Hey does anyone know how to remove the back bumper of a 2003 4.4 x5 and could diagram it out or has the diagram. Or if anyone in the LA area wants to help me do it.

Thanks

Sean

The Torx bolts are up underneath, above the exhaust tips. It's a big Torx bolt and accessing them can be tough. You might have to drop your exhaust to get clearance. See also the instructions on installing PDC. I have some pictures in there of the rear bumper off and some instructions on removal.

If the large Torx bolts have been removed as you state, be sure you removed the correct set of "bolts" from the wheel well. The ones that matter are the ones that are near the top of the wheel well. To be safe, it wouldn't hurt to remove both per wheel well.

If the correct securing hardware has been removed, you may need to lift your bumper upward to "brake" it free. I had to do this when installing my Hitch.
